Gastroenteritis kills two more in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH: Gastroenteritis on Sunday claimed lives of two more children as the death toll from the fatal disease reached 11.

Javed Ahmad and Muhammad of Daulatpur and Shahpur Jahania died of the fatal disease spreading rapidly in the city. More than 1,200 people from Moroo, Daulatpur and Shahpur Jahania, who were affected by the gastroenteritis, have been admitted to hospitals in Nawabshah. Some people are in a precarious condition.

Contaminated water and substandard sweets are said to be causing the disease.
