President and PM condemn killings

ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Saturday sent letters to their Russian counterparts condemning the militants behind the bloody hostage crisis. “Pakistan strongly condemns the crime committed by the terrorists and is confident that those responsible for this would be brought to justice soon,” President Musharraf said in a letter to President Vladimir Putin. “Let me assure you, once again, that we stand together with you in the global war against international terrorism.” Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, in a letter to his Russian counterpart Mikhail Fradkov, also condemned the “barbaric crime” committed by the hostage takers. “Pakistan condemns the crime committed by the hostage takers in which innocent children have died and hundreds of others have been injured,” the prime minister said. app
