Justice Dogar takes oath as CEC today

ISLAMABAD: Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar will be sworn-in as the acting chief election commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan today (Monday).

He will act as CEC for more than one month in the absence of the present CEC, Chief Justice (r) Irsahd Hassan Khan. Justice Dogar is a judge of the Supreme Court and was member of the bench that allowed former Punjab chief minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to come back to Pakistan. Justice Khan has gone on a month tour abroad. nni
