Three dead, 18 injured in road accident

ISLAMABAD: Three Christian pilgrims died and 18 others were wounded when their bus collided with a truck, police said on Friday.

The accident occurred late Thursday at Khanqa Dogran, a town near Lahore, said Mohammed Rafique, a local police officer.

He said the pilgrims were going to a nearby city to attend a three-day fair dedicated to Virgin Mary. Such fairs are held in many parts of Pakistan every year. ap
