Talks will lead to Kashmir solution: Shaukat Aziz
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz expects the September 5 and 6 talks between Pakistan and India to lead to a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.
He was talking to Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan who met him on Friday.
The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s resolve for a peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue through dialogue. He said dialogue was not only in the best interest of both India and Pakistan but also in the larger interest of the entire region. Mr Aziz said, “It has always been Pakistan’s endeavour to have the Kashmir issue resolved peacefully through negotiations in accordance with the wishes of the people of Kashmir.”
The prime minister said that Pakistan would continue extending political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations’ resolutions. app
