Humera Arshad to wed Ahmed Butt

LAHORE: Singer Humera Arshad has announced wedding plans with model turned actor Ahmed Butt after a year-long Nikkah. The Rukhsati will take place on August 8.

The couple first met during the Lux Style awards several years ago and have been dating since.

Ms Arshad says the marriage will not affect her music career in any way. She said that she would also start performing in international concerts after her wedding. Mr Butt will debut in an upcoming big budget film Salakhain. The film star began his entertainment career as a model after catching the eye of fashion photographer Khawar Riaz.

Ms Arshad, a well-known singer, began her career six years ago with naats on radio and TV. She hit the big time after singing a song by late Noor Jehan, ‘Sada Hoon Apnay Piyar Ki’. Her hits include Choori Katch Di, Dholna Gal Sun Gal Sun and Mein Nahi Boldi. The Mehndi wil be on August 7. shoaib ahmed
