PIA touches new high in punctuality records

LAHORE: The PIA improved its punctuality record and touched an all-time high of 92.6 percent during the month of April.

According to a press release, punctuality rates for the first four months were compared from January 1982 to April 2005. The rates for April 2005 broke the previous high of 90.1, in March, 2005. The overall punctuality average has increased to 88.5 percent in the first four months of 2005. In 2004, the average was 85.6 percent.

Tariq Kirmani, PIA chairman, stressed the need for further improvement in both punctuality and services.
