Musharraf due in Uzbekistan tomorrow

TASHKENT: President General Pervez Musharraf will visit Uzbekistan tomorrow (Saturday) as part of a Central Asian tour that also takes him to Kyrgyzstan, an Uzbek Foreign Ministry official said on Thursday.

He said that Musharraf was scheduled to spend two days in Uzbekistan, the most populous of the former Soviet Central Asian republics. From Uzbekistan, Musharraf will head on to Kyrgyzstan, where he will spend March 8 and 9 meeting officials and visiting several sites of interest. afp
