1,108 Pakistanis return from Oman
KARACHI: About 1,108 Pakistanis imprisoned in various jails in Oman reached Pakistan on Tuesday, a rights group said.
Sarim Burney, vice chairman of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust, said that the deported Pakistanis were brought in two ships to the Karachi port. They had entered Oman by trespassing the Pakistan-Iran border near Mand Ballu in search of a better living. However, they were arrested by authorities in Muscat and sent to prison, he added. nni
