Five drown as rickshaw plunges into canal

LAHORE: Five people including three Pakistan Rangers drowned on Monday when a motorcycle rickshaw plunged into the BRB Canal in Batapur police precinct. The rickshaw carrying nine people was coming from Saifan area. The driver lost control of the vehicle while taking a steep turn and it fell into the canal. However four passengers including two Rangers swam out of the canal. The bodies were given to the families without autopsy.
