Governor approves new evaluation rules for universities

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool has finalised a new procedure to evaluate the internal performance of public universities in Punjab.

An official said the procedure, to be implemented soon, would help assure quality assessment in universities. Mr Maqbool at a meeting on Monday asked universities to make their examination systems transparent. He said the government would determine project benchmarks to prepare data according to performance indicators and the support of the Higher Education Commission would be sought in this connection.
