Hafiz Saeed wants jihad against US

Staff Report

PESHAWAR: Amir Jamaat ud-Daawa Irshad Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Sunday called for unity among the Muslims and jihad against the US forces in Iraq.

Addressing a rally at the Shahibagh stadium, he said Islam would spread around the world and its past glory restored if the spirit of jihad were revived.

The rally condemned US aggression on Iraq and expressed solidarity with the people of Iraq.

He condemned US forces targeting civilians in Iraq. He said the atrocities on the Muslim by the infidels would pave way for the revival of jihad.

Mr Saeed said Iraq would be victorious in the war. He also said, “Awareness among muslims regarding jihad is rising and in the next 10 years, muslims will rule the world.” He said the problem could not be solved by boycotting US and UK made products rather every relation with them should be cut off.

Mr Saeed said the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) government should remove the western economic system and implement the Islamic laws in the province.

Senator Maulana Naseeb Gul said muslims should acquire knowledge of science and technology.

He said, “If muslims are united, no one can attack them.” He also condemned muslim rulers for talking about their own countries and not of the Ummah.

Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid, Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz Noorisatani, Amir Hamza, Iqbal Zafar Jaghra, Dr Sher Ali, Shiekh ul-Hadith Jamia Akora Khattak also addressed the gathering.
