Bomb hoax in Multan

MULTAN: Multan Civil Aviation authorities received two telephone calls on Saturday claiming that a bomb had been planted at the Multan airport and could go off at any time. A bomb disposal squad completed a search of the entire airport just before a flight from Karachi arrived at 8.25pm.

“We searched the entire airport, but found no explosive material. A similar phone call was received on October 27 when the caller claimed that a bomb had been planted in Karachi-bound Flight PK-338. The crew, the passengers and their luggage were offloaded, but nothing was found,” said Civil Defence Officer Shahid Pervez. staff report
