PML-N demands 3-day mourning
LAHORE: The government should announce a three-day mourning period for Mian Muhammad Sharif’s death, said Ayesha Javed, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz group (PML-N) women wing, on Saturday.
Ms Javed said the Mian Sharif’s demise was a national loss and it was shameful of the government to ask the Sharif family to apply to attend the funeral instead of allowing them an unconditioned return. She said that Mian Sharif was the driving force behind Pakistan’s industrial revolution and a source of inspiration for all.
She said that Quran Khawani would be held for Mian Sharif at 9:30am at 35-Tariq Block, New Garden Town.
