Save the Children UK plans workshops for children
Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Save the Children UK will hold a consultative workshop on Wednesday as part of the process of creating its new strategy paper for Pakistan during the 2006 to 2011 period.
The organisation plans to develop its strategy for addressing the needs of vulnerable children through a series of stakeholder workshops to be held in various provinces.
Each workshop will include policy makers, academics, donors, and representatives from key organisations and corporations.
A series of focus groups and discussions with children will also be arranged in each province.
The first workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 31 at an Islamabad hotel. Its aim will be to develop a basic framework for dealing with issues including children’s rights, health, and education.
The meeting will also help identify both thematic and geographic areas for improvement in Save the Children’s current services.
