PML is backing Rokri: Elahi

LAHORE: Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi clarified that Humair Hayat Rokri was the Pakistan Muslim League-backed candidate for Mianwali district nazim. In a statement issued on Monday, the chief minister said that Federal Minister Dr Sher Afgan’s statement was not based on facts and that Rokri had been unanimously declared the PML-backed candidate. He said, “There is no ambiguity in this regard.” Elahi said that Mumtaz Ali Shah is the PML-backed candidate for Nankana district nazim.
