SSPs to appear before FSB for promotion

LAHORE: A group of 54 senior superintendents of police of BS-19 will appear before the Federal Selection Board (FSB) on Saturday (today) to be promoted to deputy inspector generals, filling 16 vacant DIG posts, sources told Daily Times on Friday.

The FSB, scheduled to meet under the chairmanship of Lt General (r) Jamshed Gulzar Kiani, would also discuss the promotion cases of senior bureaucrats of the information and foreign services groups.

The SSPs are Humayyun Gogazi, Iftikhar Hussain Tarrar, Khalid Iqbal, Amin Hashim, Raiz Naeem, Abdul Ghafar Mian, Sohail Ahmad, Imtiaz Hussain, Mazhar Ali Sheikh, Waseem Ahmad, Muhammad Tanveerul Haq, Tariq Umar Khatab, Wajid Ali Durrani, Syed Javed Ali Shah Bukhari, Sharaq Haseeb Khan Hanguai, Salman Saeed Muhammad, Falak Khurshid, Fiaz Ahmad Leghari, Arif Ikram, Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmad, Rana Altaf Majeed, Abdul Wadood Shah, Sarfaraz Hussain, Saleem Akhtar Siddiqui, Akhtar Ali Muhammad, Amir Hamza Mahmood, Chaudhry Sajjad Ahmad, Muhammad Akbar, Mirza Masood Ahmad, Tassaduq Hussain, Abdul Khaliq Khan, Zafar Iqbal Qureshi, Zafar Abbass, Attaullah Wazir, Kalab-e-Abbas, Asghar Raza Gardezi, Ghulam Haider, Syed Khurshid Alam, Muhammad Pervez Rathor, Khan Baig, Hussain Karrar Khawaja, Shahid Iqbal, Muhammad Riaz Chaudhry, Sarmad Saeed Khan, Syed Asif Ali Shah, Mubarik Ali Athar, Ghulam Muhammad, Hamid Zeb, Khalid Masood, Masood Khan Afridi, Rasool Baksh, Lt Col Farman Ali and Major (r) Fateh Sher.

Out of the 54 SSPs of the Police Service of Pakistan, 12 belong to Punjab.
