Canal breach floods Nawabshah localities
NAWABSHAH: A large number of residential colonies were flooded when a 120-foot breach occurred in the main Gajrah Wah canal on Tuesday morning.
The canal irrigates over 200,000 acres of agricultural land and is also the main source of drinking water for many cities and towns. The gushing water destroyed the belongings of the people living near the canal.
The Irrigation Department staff reached the spot and started plugging the breach. The main gates of Gajrah Wah were lowered to stop the water supply. app
