Child’s murderers and black-magician arrested

LAHORE: A Kasur City Police team arrested a ‘black magician’ and two of his aides on Thursday.

The magician had allegedly directed his followers to bring the blood from a seven-year old girl’s jugular vein after raping her.

Darakshan (7) of Kot Molvi Abdul Qadir, was playing in front of her house on March 30, 2004 when she was kidnapped. On April 3 Darakhshan’s body was found in a sack in a garbage dump. Police registered a case against unidentified assailants on a complaint by Darakhshan’s father Muhammad Nisar.

A police team found that Darakhshan’s neighbours Muhammad Ramiz and Muhammad Aziz, both butchers, were her slayers.

Police said the two admitted they were regular gamblers and had contacted black-magician Hanif Masih, who instructed them to bring him the blood of a seven-year old girl’s blood from her jugular vein after raping her, after which he would give them the number of a prize bond which would carry a prize of Rs 50 million. They reportedly admitted to the police that they kidnapped Darakhshan when she was playing and took her in a shop and raped her. Later, they slaughtered her and collected her blood in a plastic bag and gave it to Hanif along with other articles he required for his black magic. They packed the child’s body in a sack and threw it in the garbage. On their pointation, police also arrested Hanif. —Staff Report
