Ex-minister’s name removed from ECL

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) federal minister Mir Baz Khatran’s name has been removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) and he has been allowed go abroad for one month, officials of the Interior Ministry said on Sunday.

Immigration authorities at Islamabad airport detained him while he was boarding flight PK 709 bound for Jeddah on Sunday, sources told Daily Times. He was allowed to proceed after he presented exemption documents issued by the Interior Ministry. —Staff Report
