UNESCO to set up 5 museums in NWFP
PESHAWAR: The United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will establish five museums in various districts of NWFP to preserve and protect the area’s cultural heritage.
The UNESCO representative, Ingeborg Breines during the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition of photographs, paintings and sketches of the walled city of Peshawar and the launching of the Urdu version of “World Heritage in Young Hands” here at the historic Gor Gathri Tehsil. She said the UNESCO would recommend the Walled City of Peshawar to the World Heritage Committee for inclusion in the World Heritage List. —Staff Report
