SOS Village organises walk

LAHORE: The SOS Village, Lahore on Sunday organized its 14th walk to raise funds.
The walk was organized in collaboration with Chand Bagh School, Beacon House, Noble Grammar School, Salamat Public School, Bluefield Hall, Aitchison College, Sacred Heart School, Canderson School, City School and Convent of Jesus & Merry.
SOS director Surraiya Anwar led the walk that commenced from the Race Course Park and terminated at the Governor’s House. Members of other NGOs attended the walk as well. Punjab Governor’s wife Rubina Khalid received the walk’s participants at the Governor’s House. Addressing, Punjab Governor Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool said every citizen was the custodian of each other’s rights. He said people should actively take part in the activities meant for social welfare. Students announced donations from their pocket money to help the orphan students of a school run by the SOS Village
