Two-day KC international conference from tomorrow

LAHORE: The Kinnaird College for Women will host the International Conference on Intercultural Communication on December 4 and 5.
The conference promises to be a high-level affair with Governor Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool, the chief guest at the inaugural, and Shahid Rashid, the secretary of Education, the chief guest on the second day. Several prominent experts will fly in on December 2 and 3 to give presentations. Speakers from Jordan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, United States of America (USA), India and Malaysia will present their views on intercultural communication.
On the first day Aaker Patel, the editor of Midday Mumbai, will address the conference. Dr Malika Mani, from Chennai, will address the conference after Mr Patel. Dr Ofelia Garcia from Columbia University will give the keynote address through video link. Panel discussions will take place in between the presentations. Hameed Haroon, Rashid Rahman, Ejaz Haider, Nasim Zehra and Muneeza Hashmi will be the media people discussing their views. Representatives from Government College University, Lahore University of Management Sciences, University of Engineering and Technology, Agha Khan University and Karachi University will also present their views.
