WASHINGTON: President George W Bush said on Monday that the majority of the Al Qaeda leadership had been brought to justice and called the killing of one of Pakistan’s most wanted terrorists as a sign of progress in the global war on terrorism. “We are making progress” in the war against terrorism, said President Bush, who is crisscrossing the country seeking support for his re-election bid in Ohio. “We are working with our friends and allies to bring Al Qaeda to justice, he added.
Noting the killing of Amjad Farooqi with a Rs 20 million bounty on his head, President Bush said one of the killers of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl had been killed in Pakistan. “One by one, we are finding these people,” he added. online
