The senior superintendent of police (SSP) for Investigation, Chaudhary Shafqat Ahmad, said Maj (r) Akhtar, who is Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal’s cousin, was on his way to Pakpattan from Okara with son Zeeshan in his friend’s car when armed assailants stopped his car near Depalpur bypass.
