Four apply for Shaukat’s Senate seat

ISLAMABAD: Four candidates submitted their nomination papers for the election of the Senate seat vacated by Shaukat Aziz, official sources said.

According to the press statement issued by the Election Commission, August 28 was the last date for submitting nomination papers. Pakistan Muslim League’s Major (r) Tahir Sadiq, Pakistan Muslim League-N’s Barjees Tahir, Sardar Mehmood Khan and Nawab Dr Ambar Shahzada would contest the election.

The scrutiny of the nomination papers would be completed by August 30 followed by polling on September 14. online
