‘Democracy in Pakistan is part of US agenda’
WASHINGTON: The United States has said that promotion of democracy in Pakistan is part of its agenda. Talking to reporters at a daily press briefing in Washington, Mark Boucher, State Department spokesman, said the US gave importance to its relations with Pakistan.
“We praised Pakistan’s efforts as a front line ally of the US in the war on terrorism,” said the spokesman. “We have always supported democracy and want to ensure sustainable democracy in Pakistan.” He said the US wished to continue working with Pakistan in all fields. online
