RSF accuses govt of double standards

LAHORE: Reporters Sans Frontičres (RSF) in a statement on Wednesday accused the Pakistan government of double standards in charging Pakistani journalist Khawar Mehdi Rizvi with sedition and conspiracy under Article 124-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898. Mr Rizvi was reportedly detained by the Pakistani authorities for more than 40 days without being produced in court. The two French journalists with whom Mr Rizvi worked were only fined. —Staff Report
