Govt and Opp brace for heated NA session

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has summoned the 27th session of the National Assembly at 5:30 pm on Monday, August 29.

The government will take up its development agenda during the session while the opposition parties are likely to take up the alleged rigging in local council elections. Key opposition alliances the ARD and MMA have submitted adjournment motions to the National Assembly Secretariat on nuclear proliferation, madrassa registration and law and order during the two phases of the local council elections.
