6 senior officials promoted, 2 transferred
ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division notified eight transfers, postings and promotions on Saturday.
Ziaur Rehman, a BS-21 officer from the District Management Group (DMG) and currently working under the Punjab government, has been promoted to secretary to the Government of Pakistan in BS-22 and posted Ports and Shipping Division secretary.
Syed Asif Shah, a BS-21 officer from the DMG and currently working as Commerce Division additional secretary, has been promoted to secretary to the Government of Pakistan in BS-22 and posted Commerce Division secretary.
Sharif Ahmad, a BS-21 officer from the DMG and currently working as National Security Council additional secretary, has been promoted to BS-22 and posted National Security Council special secretary.
Farrukh Qayyum, a BS-21 officer from the Secretariat Group and currently working as additional secretary at the Prime Minister Secretariat (Public), has been promoted and posted Information Technology and Telecommunication Division secretary. Shahab Anwar Khawaja, a BS-21 officer from the DMG and currently working as Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) chief executive officer under the Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives, has been promoted to secretary in BS-22 and made chairman of the Trading Corporation of Pakistan, Karachi.
Muhammad Yasin Tahir, a BS-21 officer from the DMG and currently working as Pakistan Intellectual Property Rights Organisation (PIPRO) director general under the Cabinet Division, has been promoted to secretary in BS-22 and will continue to work in his current capacity.
Raja Lehrasab Khan, a BS-20 officer from the Sindh judiciary and currently working as director general at the President Secretariat in Islamabad on deputation, has been repatriated to his parent department - Sindh Law Department – from September 1.
Major (r) Khalid Latif, a BS-22 officer from the Secretariat Group and currently working as officer on special duty in the Establishment Division, has been transferred and posted Environment Division secretary. app
