75 officers likely to be promoted to BS-21

ISLAMABAD: The Central Superior Services of Pakistan (CSSP) Central Selection Board will hold a two-day meeting from July 4 to consider promotion cases of officials belonging to BS-21 of various departments.
Lt Gen (r) Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani will chair the board meeting that will consider recommendations for the promotion of 75 BS-20 officers to BS-21, sources told Daily Times on Monday.
According to the initial data, out of 45 cases the board would recommend 15 officers of the District Management Group to BS-21. There are 12 vacant vacancies in the Police Service of Pakistan and the board would consider the cases of 36 officers to recommend 12 of them to PSP for promotion. 12 BS-21vacant posts in the Secretariat Group would be filled from the 36 officers of the same group. The board would also recommend 17 officers for BS-21 vacancies in the Audit and Accounts Department.
The board would consider the cases of 39 officers for promotion and recommend 13 officers to be promoted who belong to the Foreign Services of Pakistan.
Similarly the board will also review the cases of the officers belonging to the Commerce and Trade Group, Information Group, Pakistan Railways Group and Postal Services of Pakistan.
The board will again meet at the end of the next month to consider the cases of BS-19 officers of the different groups of the civil services of Pakistan for promotion.
