Sadiq Hussain dies, qul today
ISLAMABAD: Sadiq Hussain, a literary figure, was laid to rest in Islamabad on Monday and his qul will be held today (Tuesday).
Sadiq, 88, had been ill for some time and finally died on Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Gul Zarina, four sons and three daughters.
Sadiq was born in Rawalpindi in 1917. He graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi, and obtained a law degree from SM Law College, Karachi. He joined directorate general of munitions production Government of India and served in various positions in the Defence Ministry. After partition, he was appointed controller civil supplies Government of East Pakistan. Sadiq was one of the best short story writers of his times. app
