Public asked to exchange Rs 5 note till 30th
ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan reminded the public on Monday to surrender/exchange the Rs 5 currency notes with Rs 5 coins or notes of other denomination, as the note will cease to be legal tender after June 30, a press release said. The State Bank has widely publicised the federal cabinet’s decision to replace the Rs 5 notes with coins and has directed commercial banks to collect the notes from the public from February 1 to June 30, the press release added. app
