DSD holds teachers workshop
LAHORE: The Directorate of Staff Development (DSD), under it’s restructured role of developing professional teachers in Punjab, conducted the ‘First national consultation for coordination of stakeholders in teacher development’, said a DSD press release on Monday.
The workshop, held on Monday, was the first step in teacher development and would provide strategy to develop primary school teachers. It aims to develop a ‘basic foundation module for training of primary school teachers’ in line with national education policy, national curriculum and textbooks.
Education Minister Mian Imran Masood, inaugurating the workshop, congratulated the DSD for conducting the series of consultative dialogues with stakeholders. “We want to raise the quality of teachers in order to raise the standard of education,” he said.
