50 passengers robbed near Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: More than 50 passengers were robbed at Pind Karoor area on the outskirt of the federal capital on Sunday night. According to the area police, four robbers snatched more than six public transport and private vehicles heading towards Muzaffarabad and Kotli by placing wooden logs on the road. The outlaws held the passengers at gunpoint and forced them got off the bus and snatched cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth of Rs 800,000 from them, the police said. Three passengers got injured when they intercepted the robbers while they were fleeing. The Bara Khou police refused to go to the scene saying that the area was in the jurisdiction of the Kotli Police Station. However the Kotli police officials had not reached the spot till the filing of this report. More than 200 passengers have been looted at the said place during a short span of three months. staff report
