Two die after falling into ship’s oil tank

KARACHI: Two men died when they fell into an oil tank of a ship at Gidani on Thursday. A British ship, Alham, has been brought to Gidani for breaking. A man, Shawaki, stated to be of Yemeni origin, was providing technical assistance. He died after he fell into the oil tank of the ship. Edhi volunteers were contacted to take out the body. An Edhi volunteer, Mohammed Amin, also slipped into the tank when was trying to take out the body of Shawaki. Amin too died. The bodies will be taken out tomorrow. —Staff Report
