Suu Kyi put under house arrest again

YANGON: Myanmar’s opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been discharged from hospital where she underwent surgery last week and has returned to her Yangon residence, the government said on Friday. “She will continue to rest at home under the supervision of her doctors while the government stands ready to provide and assist her with medical and humanitarian needs,” it said in an official information sheet. —AFP
