‘Squatters on state property to be prosecuted’

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here on Wednesday directed the Punjab Privatization Board (PPB) to take action against the people illegally occupying state property.
Presiding over a PPB meeting, Mr Elahi said a comprehensive strategy to sell government property at a better price through the privatization process should be developed, and the money collected should be spent on welfare projects. He also directed the re-organisation of the PPB.
The meeting was attended by the Punjab Chief Secretary Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa, Finance Minister Hasnain Bahadur Derashak, the Chairman of Planning and Development Humayun Farshori, Senior Member of the Board of Revenue Ziaur Rehman, Secretary of Finance Salman Siddique and the PPB Chairman Brigadier Aness Ahmed.
