Police inspector shot dead

SHEIKHUPURA: A police inspector was shot dead here on Wednesday by two unidentified assailants. Police Inspector Ghafoor alias Hathora was posted at the Farooqabad Punjab Constabulary. On the day of the incident, Mr Ghafoor was on his way to the office when two armed men intercepted him near the new vegetable market and shot him dead on the spot. A passer-by, Younas, was also injured during the shooting and was admitted to the hospital. The police has registered a case.
