Qazi-Jamali meeting expected today

By Amir Rana

LAHORE: Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali is to meet Jamaat-e-Islami chief and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal leader Qazi Hussein Ahmad today, sources told Daily Times on Sunday.

Sources at the JI headquarters in Mansoora said that law enforcement agencies were making security arrangements around the area, but did not say these were in connection with the meeting. A JI source said the meeting was scheduled after the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Islamabad contacted the party, but that the date and location of the meeting had not been finalised. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) leader Hafiz Hussein Ahmad also arrived in Lahore on Sunday and is expected to join the meeting.
