‘Artificial skin to be developed in Pakistan’

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Tahir Ali Javed on Wednesday said artificial skin will be developed in Pakistan for the first time through the latest stem cell technique in skin grafting for burn victims. He said modern medical facilities of “stem cell and skin culture” were not available to patients anywhere in Pakistan and India. He said with the help of the stem cell technique, Pakistani doctors would develop artificial skin to treat burn patients. —APP
