Foreign delegates visit UVAS

LAHORE: A delegation of university professors from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Saturday.
Prof Dr DS Rathore, Palampur CSK HP Agriculture University vice chancellor, led the delegation. They met the UVAS professors and shared their experiences in veterinary education and research. They also desired to collaborate with the UVAS, a press release said.
Veterinary Sciences Dean Prof Dr Khalid Pervaiz told the visitors about the academic, research activities and clinical services of the university. He said that the UVAS had developed modern laboratories and clinical services and was promoting research.
Later, the delegates took a tour of the university laboratories and clinical services where Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq, Dr Mansuruddin Ahmad, Dr Muhammad Arif Khan and Dr Saleem Ahmad highlighted the functioning of the university diagnostic lab, ambulatory clinic, nutrition lab, surgery section and pet centre.
The visitors applauded the lab demonstrations and the standard of laboratories and clinical services.
