Increase likely in gas prices

ISLAMABAD: The government is likely to increase the price of natural gas by six percent each for domestic and industrial-commercial consumers.

An official told Online on Friday that it was due to a price increase in the international market. He said the Oil and Gas regulatory Authority had received applications from the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited for an increase in gas tariff.

This will be the second increase in a year. online
