No compromise on line loss reduction: Jatoi

LAHORE: There will be no compromise on the reduction of power distribution companies line losses, said Liaqat Ali Jatoi, the federal minister for Water and Power, during an inspection of LESCO on Friday.

Akram Arian, the LESCO chief, along with senior officers briefed Jatoi about the company’s performance. Jatoi praised LESCO efforts towards reducing line losses. He said that funds would be provided to improve LESCO infrastructure. Jatoi expressed concern about the kite flying issue and promised that he would take up the issue before the provincial government.

Earlier, Jatoi had visited WAPDA House and asked WAPDA officers to start a campaign to educate the public about the importance of water and its availability.
