Conference to discuss violence against women

Two Afghan women attend a conference to discuss the issue of violence against women in Kabul on Sunday. The newly created Ministry of Women’s Affairs said that violence against women is no longer acceptable in the country and together with the UN Development Fund for Women launched a programme to prevent and eliminate it. —Reuters
