Cabinet expansion likely on July 1

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet is likely to be expanded before President Pervez Musharraf’s visit to the Scandinavian countries beginning July 3, a senior government official told Daily Times on Wednesday.

He said the announcement would be made on July 1 or 2 and roughly 8 to 10 parliamentarians would be inducted into the cabinet. He said the Pakistan Muslim League would have a share of six members, while the Muttahida Quami Movement and the Pakistan Peoples Party would have one member each. staff report
