Durrani should attend NSC: Fazl

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal central leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that NWFP Chief Minister Akram Durrani should attend the National Security Council (NSC) meeting since he was the province’s chief executive and his involvement would help prevent an unpleasant situation between the federation and the province. “Only the MMA’s supreme council can decide the NSC meeting participants, however my party’s stance is that our protest should remain limited to the participation of the opposition leader,” Fazl told JUI-F activist at the party’s election office in PF constituency-66. The JUI-F chief said there would be a protest on May 27 all over the world against the Quran’s desecration by US troops in Guantanamo Bay. He added that the MMA would also stage demonstrations in all provincial capitals to record its protest. online
