PML-F asks EC to cancel others’ registration
ISLAMABAD: Pir Pagaro, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) president, on Monday applied to the Election Commission of Pakistan seeking cancellation of registration of all PML factions except PML-F.
Filed through the chief organiser of PML-F, Sheikh Sirajuddin, and senior joint secretary Kashif Nizamani, the application maintains that PML-F inherited the original Muslim League of Quaid-e-Azam, hence the registration of all other factions should be cancelled. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, now the CEC, received the application. Later talking to Daily Times the CEC said that a meeting of the full Election Commission would be convened to decide the matter. He said notices would be served on the PML-F secretary general and the PML to initiate proceedings. mohammad kamran
