Amer opens new block at Mian Munshi Hospital

LAHORE: The government has increased the Punjab health budget by 300 percent, which has helped in improving facilities at the hospitals under the Lahore city government to a par with the teaching hospitals, said Mian Amer Mehmood, the district nazim, while opening a new emergency block at Mian Munshi Hospital (MMH).
“Patients in emergency wards of all hospitals are getting free medicines,” Amer said. He said that MMH had poor people living around it and the city government was trying its best to provide them all health facilities. The nazim said that laparoscopic surgical facilities had already been provided at MMH. He said the city government had added a new operation theatre and an intensive care unit to the wards of the hospital.
