Police advise Eid travellers to take care

ISLAMABAD: The capital police have advised people intended to travel for Eid to inform private security guards of their whereabouts, Daily Times has learned.

Security agencies have been requested by the capital police to render their services for a small fee. The police will also keep a watchful eye on the whole city and police officials will enhance patrols. Security has been beefed up in the city to avoid any possible terrorist acts. Additional police personnel and intelligence staff will also be appointed in sensitive areas, said a police spokesman. He said police personnel have been given special duties to keep an eye on the known troublemakers. —APP
